Senior Master Jamie Cashion to Receive AMAA Black Belt Achievement Award
Fort Worth, Texas (For Release) – Senior Master Jamie Cashion, a 7th Degree Black Belt in American Karate, has been accepted for inclusion in the 2016 Edition of WHO’S WHO in the Martial Arts Autobiography Publication and recipient of the WHO’S WHO in the Martial Arts Black Belt Achievement Award from the American Martial Arts Alliance (AMAA). Master Cashion was nominated for the honor by seven-time PKA World Light Heavy Weight Karate Champion Jeff Smith.

Master Cashion has dedicated his life to helping and empowering others through the martial arts and his work with the Somervell County Fire Department. He has worked with at-risk youth and underprivileged children in Texas and as far away as Africa. Master Cashion has been honored by Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton with the Presidential Sport Award and by then-State Senator Mike Moncrief with the Texas Martial Arts Award.
Master Cashion has received recognition from other prestigious martial arts organizations, including the Masters Hall of Fame and the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He has been honored in the Legends of Martial Arts Hall of Fame by Cynthia Rothrock, the California Martial Arts Museum Wall of Honor by Art Camacho, and the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Honor by Allen Goldberg. Official Karate Magazine presented him with the Golden Shuto Award.
The recognition and award will be presented during the AMAA’s Legends weekend September 16-18 at the Hilton Executive Park in Charlotte, NC. The weekend will include a VIP welcome reception and book signing of the WHO’S WHO in the Martial Arts book, hosted by Grandmaster Joe Corley and Jeff Smith on Friday night. Saturday events will include the AMAA Nationals Martial Arts Championships and an evening black tie event with guest speaker Grandmaster Cynthia Rothrock. The weekend will close with a special training session led by Grandmaster Rothrock.

The American Martial Arts Alliance has organized and hosted martial arts tournaments since 1979 and is dedicated to promoting professionalism, health and fitness, and good sportsmanship. The WHO’S WHO in the Martial Arts book will honor such luminaries as Grandmaster Rothrock, Grandmaster Steven Segal, and Grandmaster Bill Wallace.
