Martial Arts History Museum Inducts Master Jamie Cashion into Wall of Honor
Burbank, CA – (PRESS RELEASE)The Martial Arts History Museum presented Master Jamie Cashion, a 7th Degree Black Belt in American Karate, with the coveted Honor Award at a ceremony in Burbank, CA, on September 7, 2013. Master Cashion was honored for his achievements in the martial arts as well as his commitment to giving back to the community.

The Martial Arts History Museum opened in 1999 and is dedicated to providing an educational, cultural and artistic experience about the martial arts to visitors from around the world. The Museum detail how the Asian martial arts have become a part of American culture and history and the influence they have had on the media arts.
The Museum Honor Awards were created to “honor and pay tribute to those key individuals that have excelled above and beyond all expectations and have helped perpetuate the martial arts in a positive way.” The goal is to recognize those who have made an important impact in the martial arts community. Among those how have been honored by the Martial Arts History Museum are such legends as Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chuck Norris, Don “The Dragon” Wilson and Cynthia Rothrock.
Master Cashion has set a strong example through both his martial arts success and his commitment to giving back to the community. After nearly losing his life as a volunteer firefighter at age 16, he has dedicated his life to helping others. In addition to his work with Christian Soldiers Karate, Master Cashion has worked with his local Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, the Speedway Charities and other organizations. He has been honored by Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton with the Presidential Sport Award and by then-State Senator Mike Moncrief with the Texas Martial Arts Award. Most recently he was named a Hometown Hero in Fort Worth, Texas, for his commitment to the community.
