“We are all put on this earth to help others in need, I am doing nothing special but what I am called to do, and I am blessed to do it!”

-Senior Master Jamie Cashion

Master Cashion has been recognized by many of the top martial arts organizations, including the Masters Hall of Fame, the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and the Martial Arts History Museum. As a teacher of karate for more than 30 years, he has set a strong example in his life through both his martial arts success and his commitment to giving back to the community. He has worked with at-risk youth and underprivileged children in Texas and as far away as Africa. In addition to his training and teaching in the martial arts, Master Cashion is a fire department first responder in his home state of Texas, and was recently involved in the rescue efforts in the Houston region following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

The induction into the Elite Black Belt Hall of Fame is a singular honor for Master Cashion, as it is the only hall of fame that does not accept nominations for inclusion. Honorees are selected and vetted based on their contributions to the martial arts. Master Cashion was chosen in part for his efforts to uplift the martial arts and to recognize past masters of the arts who otherwise might be forgotten in the passage of time. In addition to his induction into the Hall of Fame, Master Cashion was presented with the International Martial Arts Medal of Honor.

“I am truly honored and blessed to be recognized by the International Seieido Federation for my contributions to the martial arts,” said Master Cashion. “The Elite Black Belt Hall of Fame is an honor reserved for special martial artists such as Bruce Lee,Jhoon Rhee, Chuck Norris, Bill Wallace, Jackie Chan, and my instructor Pat Burleson. I was beyond blessed when it was announced my name was placed next these great men that I am not worthy of. We are all put on this earth to help others in need, I am doing nothing special but what I am called to do, and I am blessed to do it!”
